Bill is a 12-year-old Shire x Quarter Horse gelding standing a sturdy 16.1 hands high. Bill has something for every rider to enjoy. He is big enough for any sized rider, the husband, and guests. Though a big boy, he is very gentle and quiet, so the little ones and timid riders can enjoy him too! He has the athleticism to hunt, event, and do some dressage, but is just as happy going on a trail ride or giving the kids pony rides. Bill is safe in the barn, great with kids, and can be ridden by all members of the family.

In the ring, Bill is easygoing and simple. He has a fabulous canter, an easy-to-sit trot, and smooth transitions. Bill picks up both leads easily and is quite adjustable. He rides on a loose rein and will go into a frame when asked. He knows basic lateral work and is schooling first-level dressage tests. We have used Bill for our children's beginner riding lessons; he is forgiving and tolerant of rider error. Cross country, Bill has proved to be quite the jumper. He could easily go B/N with some more education; he is very brave and never questions a fence. Most of his jumping miles are on the XC field and on hunter paces. He will pop over jumps in the arena but tends to take solid fences a bit more seriously. He has jumped logs, coupes, walls, ditches, and banks with ease.

On the trails, Bill is a trail master. We have ridden him anywhere and everywhere you can think of. Bill will ride straight into town for lunch, double to drop the kids off at school, and everywhere in between. He has gone on camping trips as well and will pack, pony, and lead the way. He is safe in traffic, will cross water, and is happy in any position in the group. Anyone can trail ride Bill; he is steady, safe, and slow.

In the barn, Bill is a gentle giant. The kids can easily handle, turn out, bathe, and groom him. He is used to all sorts of farm chaos, ATVs, dogs, and kids running around him. He is a good boy for loading, trailering, and tying. Bill is happy living inside or out and is currently living in the pasture in a mixed herd of mares and geldings. He is easy to catch and gets along well with whoever we turn him out with

Bill is available to be tried at our farm in Clover, SC by appointment.

Due to the increasing popularity of our horses, we can only hold a horse if a deposit is placed. All horses are considered available and will continue to be shown and advertised unless we have received a deposit. An appointment to see a horse will not hold them for you. Deposits are $1000 via PayPal and are NOT refundable for any reason. Many horses have a waitlist of interested clients, so in fairness to everyone, this is a set policy.
