California - SOLD

California is an 8 year old Quarter Horse x Welsh gelding standing 15.2 hands high. This guy checks ALL the boxes. He is the complete package in every way. He is looks, brains, talent, and the easiest of keepers.  California is kid/amateur/family safe. He is educated, broke, and quiet. Cali jumps around a 3’ course and has offered changes. He's tolerant of rider error, missing distances, and is patient with timid riders. He loves to go cross country, hacking out, and trail riding. He is the same after a few days off, and is great off property. He's done lots of local showing with the kids, he's gone to fairs, rodeos, and camping trips! He’s happy doing most any job, and loves people. Show him today, take the kids on a trail tomorrow, he is safe for any job with any rider. It is hard to find a unicorn like this that is show ring ready, mom approved, confidence building, and is this versatile. 

 

In the ring, California is straightforward and easy. He easily picks up both leads, is soft, and adjustable. He has three sooth and comfortable gaits that are easy to sit. Overall, this horse is super broke. He has an education both western and English. He has a goo neck rein, knows all the lateral work, and moves off leg and seat cues. Cali is a good mix of whoa and go, and has gaits that are easy for kids or beginner riders to learn on. 

Over fences, Cali is super fun. He's a barn favorite when it comes to jumping. Both in the ring and out cross country, he is as brave as they get. He will jump absolutely anything you put in front of him. With some finishing he could do the eq or hunter jobs easily. He has great form, scope, and truly loves to be jumping. This guy has the flatwork to step into the dressage ring, the bravery to event, and the rideablity to be a jumper or hunter.  He has been a kids horse for the past few years, and has also been ridden by the kids here at our farm in lessons as well.

Out of the ring, California is a dream. He is very used to going off property to show, trail ride, and school at different locations. He is always the same horse. He is quiet and easy on the trails, he can lead, follow, or ride alone. He is safe with ATV's, traffic, kids, loud noises, and dogs. He easily loads right up and is great in the trailer, and when tied to it. Our kids all safely trail ride him, and he is also a great choice for guests to take a spin on.

In the barn, Cali is gentle and sweet. He enjoys attention and getting loved on. He's very used to kids and dogs climbing on, under, and around him. He is safe to be handled by the kids and beginners, and has great ground manners. Cali is well behaved to clip, bathe, tie, and trailer. We have absolutely no complaints about this guy, he is as good as they get!

California is available to be tried at our farm in Clover, SC by appointment.

All horses are considered available and will continue to be shown and advertised unless we have received a deposit. An appointment to see a horse will not hold them for you. Deposits are $1000 via PayPal and are NOT refundable for any reason. Many horses have a waitlist of interested clients, so in fairness to everyone, this is a set policy.
