Miss Frizzle, lovingly known as “AJ” is a 13 year old Quarter Horse mare standing 14 hands high. This is the type of horse that we get countless requests for. Something with miles, that knows their job, a horse that’s been there, done that, and always takes care of their rider. AJ is just that. She spent the last 6+ years as a lesson horse giving English and western lessons to first time kids, nervous adults, and riders needing to gain confidence. Our own children even took lessons on AJ weekly! She is the type you can open the door and let the kids go and play around with for hours without ever having to worry. She is easy, steady, and safe for any rider. From leadline, to 4h, fun shows, parades, and trail rides, Miss Frizzle has done it all and is ready to keep doing what she’s best at, keeping her rider happy and safe, with her next family.
In the ring, AJ has the smoothest walk, trot, and canter. She has perfect transitions, a good stop, and picks up both leads easily. She will ride on the buckle or go in a frame, and knows lateral work as well as neck reins. She is perfect for lunge line lessons, pony ride lessons, and will even jump around a small course. She has been to every local show in the area, done 4h events, hunter paced, and gone on various clinics and schooling events. She takes a joke, is forgiving, and comes out the same horse if she’s ridden daily or monthly.
On the trails, AJ is quiet and easygoing. She loves to go cross country schooling and pops over logs, coupes, walls, and more. She is great on hunter paces and group trail rides, though she prefers to not have other horses following too close behind her, she’s a mare when it comes to nosy horses sniffing her butt! She will also ride alone with no issue. AJ is safe in traffic, with ATVs, safe for the kids to ride out alone, and not worked up by any of the usual spooky things.
In the barn, AJ is polite and well mannered. She is, of course, used to being handled by kids and inexperienced riders. She is a good girl for all of the usual clipping, bathing, tacking, and grooming. She will live inside, or out, and has no bad habits or vices. She is turned out with mares and geldings and never causes a fuss. She has no mareish behavior, aside from not liking horses following her too closely, and is safe and gentle with all of our kids and their friends!
Miss Frizzle is available to be tried at our farm in Clover, SC by appointment. Appointments to meet and try horses can be made starting anytime after the Full Video is listed on our page. Vet and ship, and sight-unseen sales are welcome at any point once the horse is listed on our site.

Due to the increasing popularity of our horses, we can only hold a horse if a deposit is placed. All horses are considered available and will continue to be shown and advertised unless we have received a deposit. An appointment to see a horse will not hold them for you. Deposits are $1000 via PayPal and are NOT refundable for any reason. A deposit holds a horse for 5 days. Many horses have a waitlist of interested clients, so in fairness to everyone, this is a set policy.
