Reba is an 8 year old Quarter Pony mare standing 13.1 hands high. She has a one of a kind look (Check out that tail!), a gentle nature, and a slow and steady pace. She’s a perfect size for a timid or smaller adult that needs a steady mount that’s close to the ground, and great for kids of all ages. She’s gentle for the youngest riders, and big enough that there’s room for them to grow with her. Reba is one of our ranch ponies that the kids have ridden all over. She’s used to following along to do a days work with one of the kids on her back bouncing along and enjoying the ride. Reba has seen and done a bit of everything from gathering cows, jumping cross country, trail obstacle courses, extensive trail riding, camping, and of course lessons with the kids. 
 
Out on the ranch, Reba rides out with the big horses with one, or two, kids on her back while we work. She is used to riding along and pushing livestock such as cows, goats, sheep, and mules. She stands tied patiently to anything for as long as you need her to. She’s used to large and loud farm machinery, dogs, heavy traffic, and crazy kids running around. Reba confidently crosses any terrain, mud, water, or brush you point her at. 
 
In the ring, Reba will walk, trot, and canter both directions and will go in a frame when asked. She prefers to take it slow in the ring, making her perfect for the rider who has no need for speed! Shes a great candidate for a walk trot/beginner lesson pony too! She is the same pony whether you ride her every day, or once a week. She is an absolute superstar on the cross country course, she is braver than brave, and loves to jump! 
 
On the trails, Reba will go anywhere you point her. She rides alone, in a group, and is happy to lead the way or follow along. Nothing phases her, nothing surprises her, and you’d be hard pressed to find something she hasn’t seen before! Reba is used to loading up in the trailer to go places and is a pleasure to have along on the road. 
 
In the barn, Reba is kind and gentle. She stands patiently to be groomed, tacked, and bathed. She lives outside in a mixed herd of mares and geldings, and gets along well with her pasture mates. Reba is an easy keeper with no maintenance or vices.
