Roanoke - SOLD

​Roanoke is a 6 year old Belgian x Quarter Horse gelding standing 16.1 hands high. He is sturdy, steadfast, and brave as they come. He is the perfect size for the husband, and gentle for a beginner, while still being athletic enough to hunt and jump around some bigger coupes and walls. He has done the basic prep work for mounted patrol, he has the best brain, so smoke bombs, fire, flares, and guns were no worry for him!

In the ring, Roanoke has three comfortable gaits, super canter transitions, and an easy way of going. He knows how to go in a frame, or ride on a loose rein. He has great brakes, easy steering, and a soft mouth. We have started him over small jumps in the arena, he is brave and simple - but most of his jumping experience is out over cross country jumps and in hunt country. He will easily jump over logs, coupes, walls, ditches, and in and out of water.

On the trails and off property, Roanoke is the equivalent of an ATV. He is the first one to take a splash in the water, and will happily be a lead for any horses needing some confidence. If there is an obstacle Roanoke won’t cross, we haven’t come across it. He is braver than brave and reliable as the day is long. He is safe in traffic, riding through town, deep in the forrest, and everything in between.

In the barn, Roanoke is mannerly and polite. He knows his size, and is respectful of your space, while still being a kind and loving partner. He loves being groomed and loved on, and is especially gentle with the kids. He lives out in a mixed herd, but is a good boy when stalled too. He’s easy to catch, and comes when called!

Our program produces versatile and family-friendly horses for all disciplines and levels of the sport. While at our farm, every horse is handled, ridden, and loved by us and our children. We make sure our horses are well versed in trail riding, going off property, attending clinics and lessons, and some go to horse shows, and fox hunt. This is a family operation priding ourselves in finding and producing quality family, amateur friendly horses for all ages and disciplines!

Roanoke is available to be tried at our farm in Clover, SC by appointment. Appointments to meet and try horses can be made starting anytime after the Full Video is listed on our page. Vet and ship, and sight-unseen sales are welcome at any point once the horse is listed on our site.

​Due to the increasing popularity of our horses, we can only hold a horse if a deposit is placed. All horses are considered available and will continue to be shown and advertised unless we have received a deposit. An appointment to see a horse will not hold them for you. Deposits are $1000 via PayPal and are NOT refundable for any reason. A deposit holds a horse for 5 days. Many horses have a waitlist of interested clients, so in fairness to everyone, this is a set policy.
