Tokyo is a 5-year-old Friesian x Quarter Horse gelding standing just a hair under 16 hands high. Tokyo is the complete package. He is a 10-mover with three balanced and rhythmic gaits. He has a quiet and sensible mind, the kind every trainer and rider want. He has the kindest and friendliest personality, and to top it all off, he is as pretty as a picture. Tokyo has the talent to go all the way to the top in the dressage arena and the brains to carry a rider on the trails. He also jumps around the cross-country course, enjoys hunter paces, and has completed all the prep work for mounted patrol. What stands out about Tokyo is that he can go to the upper levels with his partner, but he is just as capable, safe, and happy being a reliable ride for anyone who wants to take him for a spin.

In the ring, Tokyo is a dream. He has three quality gaits and naturally carries himself well. He is schooling first-level tests and is ready to move up the levels with his next rider. He knows basic lateral work, such as shoulder in, haunches in, and leg yields. This horse has the "wow" factor; when he enters the ring, all eyes are on him. Tokyo always aims to please; he enjoys having a job but is just as happy going along on a loose rein and plodding around. Tokyo listens well to voice commands and has a great "whoa." He jumps a 2’6” course with ease and scope for more.

Off the property and out of the ring, Tokyo is fun and uncomplicated. He is used to going off the property for trail rides, cross-country schooling, lessons, and clinics. Cross-country, Tokyo schools BN/Novice fences. He goes into the water, has tackled ditches, banks, and all the usual jumps and questions. He is brave and has been very honest and trustworthy out in the field. On the trails, Tokyo is quiet and safe. He will lead or follow and handles any obstacles along the way like a pro. Tokyo is safe riding with busy traffic, ATVs, trucks, and more. You can feel secure riding deep through the woods or into town!

In the barn, Tokyo is a gentleman. He is well-behaved for all the usual activities. He loves being groomed, bathed, and getting attention. He’s used to the kids climbing all over, under, and around him. He genuinely enjoys people's company and being the center of attention. He’s content in a stall or out in the pasture and gets along with mares and geldings. He ties, loads, and trailers well and has no quirks or vices.

Tokyo is a special horse that we all enjoy here. He’s the type of horse that day in and day out you are happy to have in the barn. He can work hard for you in the dressage arena one day and carry a rider on the trails the next. He really is the perfect mix of talent and brains, and we cannot say enough great things about him.
