Looking for something unique? Fitzy is just that. Not only does he have the looks and presence that is hard to find but he also has some special moves. He will walk, trot and canter but he also has a gaited trot that is super smooth and fun to enjoy out on the trails.
He isn’t overly trained in the dressage ring and has not bad habits to correct. He is just a simple and straightforward horse. Fitzy also has a gait to him that is super smooth and fun to ride. We had one other horse who had this trait a few years ago and though it is rare to find, most riders really enjoy the comfort.
On the trails Fitz really shines. He is relaxed and brave. He is not looking to race back to the barn or back to his buddies. He is the perfect horse to jump on and ride out alone for the day. We have used him for camps and overnight trips as well as moonlight rides.
He is not what some would consider a show horse or jumper. He is a fun family horse. He can do the paper chases or hunt in 3rd field just fine. He canters well in a group and keeps up with other horses.
In the barn he is so kind, patient and easy. He is a great horse to introduce kids to horse ownership. He stands quiet on the cross ties and is a gentleman for the farrier and vet. He does have lots of feather to care for so that is why I gave him a 9 on the score.
He is up to date on all vaccines, dentals and farrier.
