Watson is one of those special horses that Carolina Sport Horses is known for. He is a well built draft cross that has the strong build folks desire and the movement to perform in any ring. He is safe for beginners and senior riders. He is one of our favorites to take off property and show off. He commands attention at every event, trail ride, fox hunt that he has ever been too. We originally spent month looking for this horse for an elder client who demanded quality and a smooth trot. He choose a smaller appendix so Watson became available.
In the ring he is very strait forward. He is VERY nice in the ring. His transitions are smooth and leads are easy. He is just a simple and straightforward horse. The best thing about this horse is his trot. It is so smooth and enjoyable to ride. His canter is not too big and everyone always comments on how nicely he moves.
On the trails and open fields Watson really shines. He is relaxed and brave. He is not looking to race back to the barn or back to his buddies. He is the perfect horse to jump on and ride out alone for the day. We have used him for camps and overnight trips as well as moon light rides!
In the barn he is so kind, patient and easy. He is a great horse to introduce kids to horse ownership. He stands quiet on the cross ties and is a gentleman for the farrier and vet. He is balanced and easy for picking feet and working with.
He is up to date on all vaccines, dentals and farrier.
