Willy Wonka- For Sale

Willy Wonka is a 6 year old Percheron x Morgan cross gelding standing 15.2 hands high. If we had to sum up Willy in one sentence it would be: He is the dream horse. Willy is top notch in absolutely every way. He does a bit of everything, and does it well. He is saintly quiet, forgiving, and gentle as a lamb. He is quiet enough for guests to trail ride, while having the talent and education for a more experienced rider to enjoy. You can put your grandma, your baby, or your husband on him and not have to worry about a thing. He has a heart of gold and the brain that everyone wants. Willy is an easy keeper with no vices or bad habits. He’s broke the best, and is as reliable as they come. You can’t ask for more!

In the ring, Willy is comfortable and smooth. He is broke both western and English, though you could also ride him bareback in a halter if you please. He listens to everything his rider tells him, and is forgiving of rider mistakes. Willy has great transitions, easy steering, and knows how to go in a frame or ride on the buckle. He picks up both leads, has a great stop, and is soft in the bridle. He knows lateral work, neck reins, and works off leg and seat cues. Under western tack, he lopes off, jogs, and has a nice big stop. Under English tack, he will frame up, collect and extend, and is schooling first level dressage tests. Willy is jumping small jumps in the ring with ease, though most of his jumping miles are out on the xc course and in hunt country. Willy has all the buttons without ever being touchy or sensitive. He does what is asked and is honest as can be. He has jumped logs, coupes, walls, ditches, and in and out of water.

On the trails and off property, Willy is the best! He will cross any and all obstacles, swim, ride through town, and pony the youngsters all day. If you want a trail master, this is it. We have taken Willy on camping trips, hunter paces, and to work our squirrel dogs. He is used to gun fire, smoke, heavy traffic, and riding alone and in the dark. He is well versed on the trails and has never let us down!

In the barn, Willy is a total love. The kids climb on, under, and around him all day. He stands tied, cross tied, and tied to the trailer. There is nothing bad to say about his demeanor or ground manners. He is polite, friendly, and kind. In the pasture he is the first to the fence to greet you, and gets along well with his pasture mates. He has no vices or bad habits, he is as easy as a horse could be!
