Bermuda is a 5 year old Percheron x Quarter Horse gelding standing 15.3 hands high. Bermuda is quiet, gentle, and safe for anyone. He is the perfect size for husbands, guests, and friends to take on trail rides. He’s gentle and kind for the kids to ride in lessons, and is the same horse on or off property, and if ridden daily or once a week! Bermuda is a well rounded horse that can do a bit of everything with any member of the family.
In the ring, Bermuda is slow and steady. He can have weeks off and come in from the pasture and do a walk trot lesson with the kids. He is beginner safe and tolerant, keeps a steady pace, and is smooth and comfortable in all three gaits. He is soft in the bridle and will ride on a loose rein or in a frame. He works off leg, seat, and voice cues well, and has great brakes. He easily picks up both leads, has good transitions, and is always an easy and enjoyable horse to ride!
On the trails and off property, Bermuda is the same as he is at home. Steady and quiet. Absolutely anyone can safely enjoy a trail ride on Bermuda. He steps into creeks, is safe in traffic, and will ride alone or in a group. Nothing phases him, and he stays quiet and reliable in any environment. He is used to loading up and going new places to trail ride and school, he stands tied to the trailer patiently, and is always a good boy.
In the barn, Bermuda is snuggly and sweet. He has great manners and is equal parts loving and respectful. He is a very good boy for all the usual barn tasks, and is used to the kids climbing all around and over him. He lives out in a mixd herd, and gets along well with his buddies. Bermuda is easy to catch, has no vices, and is an easy keeper.
