🐴 TEMPLETON – A Giant in Size… Gentle in Mind
Templeton stands an impressive 17.3 hands tall — a true giant with the bone, substance, and presence that make people stop and stare.
And if you’re being honest…
That size can feel intimidating.
Especially if you’re not 25 anymore.
Especially if you’ve ever been on one that felt powerful in the wrong way.
Here’s what matters:
Templeton does not ride like a giant.
He rides quiet.
He rides steady.
He rides deliberate.
The biggest fear most riders carry isn’t the height — it’s the loss of control.
“What if he’s too much?”
“What if he moves quicker than I expect?”
“What if I can’t stop him when I need to?”
Templeton is not a horse that moves without his rider.
He stands quietly to mount and does not step off until asked. He walks on a relaxed rein. His transitions are smooth and predictable. He does not rush, and he does not react unnecessarily.
He gives you time.
And time is what builds confidence.
For riders who quietly worry about falling…
About injury…
About not bouncing like they once did…
Templeton’s greatest strength isn’t his size — it’s his mind.
In the arena, he is uncomplicated and steady. On the trail, he is observant but not spooky. He handles new environments with a calm, level demeanor and does not look for reasons to be reactive.
And let’s address the question many buyers won’t say out loud:
“What if he changes once he leaves your place?”
Templeton has proven consistency. He has been exposed to real situations and ridden in different settings without changing his temperament. He is the same horse day after day.
He is not here to test you.
He is here to carry you safely and confidently.
For the rider who wants presence without pressure…
Size without stress…
And a mount that makes you feel secure instead of uncertain…
Templeton offers something far more valuable than height.
He offers peace of mind.
And peace of mind is what allows you to truly enjoy riding again.
*All horses at CSH enjoy 24/7 turnout with a mixed herd when not in training. Training weeks they spend 3 days inside for work and 3 days off to relax. We do not feed grain but the horses to have 24/7 access to premium western alfalfa. All horses are up to date with vaccinations and worming. They are all on a 6 week farrier rotation as well and some are shod due to our rocky trails. We only train in a loose ring snaffle in western tack and a loose ring, French link or full cheek snaffle in English. Feel free to call or text me with any questions about horse care or training.*
