SHERIDAN (6666 RANCH - LENA FROM HEAVEN)

Everyone wants to know the History of a horse and typically it is at best a guess. Sheridan was named by us after Legendary Director Taylor Sheridan. On the Ranch Sheridan had many jobs. It’s best summed up by the Four Sixes themselves. 

With rolling hills and rough, rocky terrain, the Four Sixes’ pastures are large. Gathering cattle is not an easy task and requires a talented partner. The cowboys don’t handle and work the cattle with four-wheelers like many people do today. Back when the ranch was established, four-wheelers didn’t exist, so the necessity transcended over the years into having these really good cow horses to do the work, and we have developed a breeding program that provides us with just that. Sheridan is a SPECIAL horse. He was born and raised on the 6666 Ranch in Texas as seen on TV Shows like Yellowstone! Sheridan has been on our farm as personal horse for years.  We have allowed every beginner and guest to ride him. Yes he’s great WTC in the arena but he’s even more talented under saddle. 

Sheridan is a finished COW HORSE in every since of the word. He can rope, dr cows, push steers and hell probably fix a fence. He has seen a lot and ready for more. He is an older guy but he’s in excellent shape. He does have some basic care but happy to discuss! 

Sheridan was sold as a 6 yr old in a dispersal sale for north of $30k. He worked cows around the United States at some of the best operations in the nation. The last several years he’s just been a buddy for every beginner on our farm. He is one handed broke and ready to work but he’s happy to pack kids around the ring. He has had injections yearly to keep him happy and I do give him a daily Prevacox pill. He is 17 but he’s in super health. He is a picture of what a well bred Quarter Horse can be.
